  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped chives

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Wonton Filling:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, soy sauce, wine, sesame oil, cornstarch, and white pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.

  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

3. Fry the Wontons:

  1. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 325°F .

  2. Fry the wontons in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan, for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

4. Prepare the Soy Dipping Sauce:

  1. Mix the hot water and the sugar until sugar is dissolved.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Tamari, rice vinegar, chili oil, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, minced garlic, chives and sugar mixture until mixed combined.

5. Serve:

Serve the crispy wontons warm with the soy dipping sauce on the side.
